Globalizing Cross River State Cultural Identity

A long-term framework for promoting the cultural identity of Cross River State — encouraging participation across all 18 Local Government Areas, showcasing cultural heritage, and connecting cultural promotion with tourism, creative industries and economic opportunity.

The Big Vision

One State. One Identity.

Cross River State holds a rich diversity of peoples, festivals, crafts and landscapes. This initiative seeks to bring that diversity together under a shared, recognisable cultural identity that can be celebrated by its people and shared with the world — turning cultural identity into visibility, participation and opportunity.

The 36 representative positions are distinct from the wider participation targets of the master initiative.
